Discover the secret power of the Budo Gang. The Aikido card game, containing the 7 important Budo values. In this unique card game, you collect the seven 'classic' budo values, such as courage, respect and honesty. As you playfully learn the essence of Aikido and the 7 budo values, it's important to make sure your dojo knows them well, so they can't be stolen! Budo Gang is specially designed to inspire and help young and old alike to recognise but also definitely apply important Aikido values. Perfect for at home, in the dojo or on the way to an seminar!

The seven budo values central to the Budo Gang Aikido card game were not chosen at random? They also hide in the seven folds of the hakama. Each fold symbolises a value such as courage, respect and honesty - exactly the core of what you learn and experience in the game.
Budo Gang is not only instructive, but also incredibly fun to play together with your best Aikido friends - at a training camp, in the car on the way to an internship, or just at home after class.
Especially for senseis and dojo-cho, we have even developed a complete lesson plan so that you can give an inspiring themed lesson around Budo Gang. Ideal for playfully introducing children more deeply to budo values during Aikido lessons.
Watch the short explanation video about the game below, equipped with multiple languages and subtitles, so that anyone - anywhere in the world - can play and grow with it!

Place all 7 budo cards side by side, text side up (in stacks of 3). Shuffle all other cards and deal 4 cards to each player. The youngest player may start by laying out. If you have the following combination you can do something:
- Training card (two aikidokas throwing) + Sensei (trainer with a weapon) + Dojo (Japanese building); then you may put it down and take a Budo card!
- If you have a rascal, you may take a Budo card from someone if this Budo card has not yet been flipped to the flag side.
- If you have 2x sensei, then (if you have a Budo card, which is not yet flagged up) you can defend the Budo card.
- If you have 2x training card + budo card that has not yet been turned over... you may turn in these two training cards and turn over the Budo card to the flag side. They may not take these from you again!!!
With each budo card you pick up, read the text briefly to learn what the Budo values are. So you earn these by 'training' these values (with 2x training cards). Whoever manages to get all the Budo cards first wins the game. Or if you are with more players, the one with the most Budo cards also wins the game.
Below there will be a video explanation:
It is an educational Aikido game that helps children but also older people discover the 7 core values of Budo.
Jin - Compassion
Makoto - Sincerity
Chu - Loyalty
Rei - Respect
Gi - Intergrety
Yu - Courage
Meiyo - Honor
Through playful cards such as Senseis, Dojos and the villain gang, children learn to recognise and apply these values both on and off the mat.
It combines learning with play, allowing children to pick up life lessons in a fun way. In addition, it is inclusively designed by sensei Edo to make it even more accessible. After all, Aikido is for everyone!
The Budo card game will help your sensei teach values in a fun and interactive way. It is great to have it played at an Aikido camp by even the smallest in the group. It is a game that is quick to play because of its simple rules.
